Job Description

We're seeking a Backend Developer to manage data interchange between the server and users. Your main focus will be developing server-side logic, RESTful APIs, maintaining databases, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness. You'll also integrate front-end elements built by our Flutter developer.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Write readable, reusable, and efficient code using TypeScript/JavaScript and Python

• Integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic

• Design and implement low-latency, high-availability applications
  ‍
• Create database schemas on MongoDB and SQL Databases
  ‍
• Implement common solutions like user authentication and data protection
  ‍
  
• Collaborate with front-end and design teams
  Stay updated with the latest technologies
  ‍
  
• Improve the codebase and lead new app version development
  ‍
  

Qualifications and Preferred Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  ‍
• Experience with relational databases (Postgres, MySQL) and non-relational databases (MongoDB preferred)
  ‍
• Familiarity with AWS solutions (S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, CloudWatch)
  ‍
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and databases
  ‍
• Knowledge of REST API structures and third-party library integration
  ‍
  
• Experience with user authentication and authorization
  ‍
  
• Proficiency with Git and debugging code
  

Preferred

• Experience with coordinating tech initiatives and working in startups or on personal projects
